Palworld Online moves closer to market with Korean pre-registration

Garena's Palworld Online is now accepting pre-registrations in South Korea on both Android and iOS, turning what was previously a broad 2026 announcement into a much more concrete mobile release programme. Built under an official licence from Pocketpair, the game is not intended to be a simple smartphone port of Palworld. Garena is developing a standalone MMORPG with a connected open world, creature collection, base building, cooperative PvE and competitive PvP.

Touch-optimized controls are part of the design from the beginning. That distinction is important because the freedom and unpredictability of Palworld's sandbox are central to its appeal, while conventional mobile MMORPG progression can become heavily structured. Garena's challenge is preserving enough experimentation that the game still feels recognizably like Palworld.

The publisher brings formidable experience operating Free Fire and other large-scale mobile communities, particularly across Asia and emerging markets. South Korea should provide valuable early data from a sophisticated audience already accustomed to ambitious mobile MMOs and collection-driven games.
