Fingersoft continues testing Hill Climb Racing 3 on Google Play in the United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden and Finland. The biggest change is real-time multiplayer, a substantial evolution for a series whose appeal traditionally comes from exaggerated vehicle physics, upgrading and deceptively simple accelerator-and-brake controls. Synchronized racing introduces new problems the earlier games did not need to solve at the same scale: matchmaking, latency, server stability and competitive balance.

Fingersoft also has to ensure that vehicle upgrades feel worthwhile without allowing account progression to overwhelm driving skill. The original Hill Climb Racing became an enduring mobile success partly because almost any phone could run it and almost anyone could understand the controls within seconds. The sequel therefore has more to lose than a completely new franchise if complexity starts replacing accessibility.

Its current Nordic and UK rollout gives Fingersoft a controlled environment to tune progression and networking before deciding whether the project is ready for global distribution.
