Scopely continues testing WWE Generations: Eras Collide on iOS in Ireland and the Philippines. The turn-based RPG lets players build teams drawn from multiple periods of WWE history, effectively turning decades of wrestlers into a collection system. That is a natural fit for mobile design because performers, costumes, championships and historical eras provide an enormous supply of potential character variants and event themes.
Scopely is already one of the industry's most experienced operators of licensed mobile properties, so WWE Generations is less a test of whether the company understands live service and more a test of whether this specific combat and collection loop can create durable engagement. Wrestling fans also have unusually strong attachments to particular eras and rivalries, which means authenticity matters. Characters cannot simply feel like interchangeable bundles of statistics.
The Ireland and Philippines rollout remains limited, giving Scopely room to adjust progression, combat pacing and roster economics before deciding whether the title deserves a larger international launch.
