Transformers: Eternal War is entering its final week before worldwide launch on September 15 for iOS and Android. Published by Wanda Cinemas Games in partnership with Hasbro, the tactical RPG uses an original story by veteran Transformers writer Simon Furman and temporarily brings Autobots and Decepticons together against a new Chaos Legion threat. Battles are built around five-character formations, with Transformers divided into battlefield classes such as Vanguard, Assault, Firepower, Recon and Support.

Character traits add synergy bonuses, encouraging players to think about team composition rather than simply collecting the rarest units. Outside combat, the Ark functions as a development hub where players construct facilities and produce resources. Eternal War has already been tested in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the Philippines, giving the developers time to adjust progression before global release.

The key question is whether its tactical systems can create lasting depth after the initial attraction of the Transformers licence wears off. Mobile RPG audiences are increasingly demanding about live-service structure, and a famous brand alone is no longer enough to guarantee long-term retention.
