Pixel 11 review signals Google has raised the baseline flagship bar

Fresh September 7 review coverage of Google's Pixel 11 suggests the standard model may be one of the strongest conventional Android flagships of the year. The phone uses a 6.3-inch 120Hz OLED display, Google's Tensor G6 processor, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of base storage. More importantly, reviews are highlighting everyday battery endurance, camera performance and long software support rather than raw benchmark leadership.

Google promises seven years of updates, while the camera system combines a 48MP main sensor with ultrawide and 5x telephoto options. Android 17 also brings deeper Gemini integration, including proactive assistance and new voice-input features. The Pixel line increasingly demonstrates Google's preferred direction for Android: hardware specifications matter, but the larger selling point is the way AI, camera processing and operating-system services work together.

At £879, €999 or $899 depending on market, the Pixel 11 is not inexpensive, yet its standard model is now equipped more like what would previously have been considered a Pro phone. That raises competitive pressure on Samsung, Motorola and other Android manufacturers.
