Motorola's Edge 70 Plus remains one of the key smartphones in the company's IFA 2026 lineup. The handset combines a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with refresh rates up to 144Hz, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 platform, a 6,500mAh battery and 45W TurboPower charging. The headline specification is a 200-megapixel main camera, the highest-resolution primary sensor Motorola has yet placed in one of its smartphones.

High megapixel counts do not automatically produce better photographs, but they give computational photography systems additional data for cropping, low-light processing and digital zoom. Motorola's broader IFA strategy is equally important. Edge 70 Plus is being shown alongside a new Wear OS watch, Qi2 magnetic charging and the Qira AI ecosystem, suggesting the company wants buyers to consider a connected product family rather than an isolated phone.

That mirrors the direction taken by Apple, Samsung, Google and Xiaomi. The device therefore represents both a camera-focused flagship push and a building block within Motorola's broader ecosystem ambitions.
