Viaim is launching the Indiegogo campaign for its Rise AI Agent Earbuds today, September 8, after the product received two honours at IFA 2026. The earbuds won an award for audio innovation and were also recognised for design. Viaim positions Rise less as another pair of wireless earbuds and more as an always-available mobile work assistant. The system is designed to capture conversations, meetings and spontaneous notes, then use AI to organise information and extract useful tasks.

That reflects a broader shift in wearable AI. Early AI pins tried to replace parts of the smartphone and often struggled to justify their existence. Earbuds already have a clear reason to be worn, making them a more natural platform for voice-based AI. Privacy remains the central challenge because any device capable of capturing conversations needs transparent recording indicators, secure storage and straightforward deletion controls.

Crowdfunding will provide the first meaningful test of whether consumers see enough additional value in AI-enhanced earbuds to pay beyond conventional premium audio pricing.
