PUBG Mobile 4.6 launches today with Midnight Hunters

PUBG Mobile Version 4.6 begins rolling out today, September 9, bringing a supernatural Battle Royale theme built around the new Midnight Hunters mode. Players can encounter Vampires and Hunters with different abilities while navigating themed environments and PvE encounters. The update also brings back Ocean Odyssey, including its floating Ocean Palace, Stingray transportation and the Trident weapon. A new portable rubber boat expands movement options, while Royale Pass A21 is scheduled to begin on September 12.

The rollout is expected to reach Android and iOS players progressively rather than appearing simultaneously for every region. PUBG Mobile has remained successful partly because Tencent and Krafton repeatedly reshape the familiar Battle Royale map through temporary mechanics rather than requiring players to learn an entirely new game. Version 4.6 pushes that philosophy unusually far by introducing almost fantasy-like character abilities into PUBG's military framework.

The balance between spectacle and competitive integrity will determine whether Midnight Hunters becomes a remembered seasonal highlight or simply another temporary diversion.
