Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD approaches September 24 release

Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD continues its final pre-launch countdown ahead of release on September 24. Ironhide Game Studio is returning to the early history of Linirea, telling a prequel story that explores the world before Vez'nan becomes the villain familiar to long-time fans. Genesis contains 18 campaign stages, more than 40 enemy types, six bosses, 15 towers, nine spells and 12 heroes.

A major mechanical change allows players to field two heroes simultaneously, dramatically increasing possible ability combinations. The decision to maintain Kingdom Rush as a premium-style tower defence game remains notable in a mobile market dominated by free-to-play economies. Tower defence is naturally suited to touchscreens, and the franchise has survived because its basic interactions remain understandable while later missions become strategically demanding.

Ironhide's task is therefore evolutionary rather than revolutionary: add enough new systems to justify another sequel without burying the clean battlefield readability that made Kingdom Rush successful in the first place.
