Motorola's new Moto Watch Ultra is preparing to reach European stores on September 15 at €429.99. The 46mm stainless-steel smartwatch runs Wear OS and uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor. LTE through eSIM allows calls and messages without a nearby phone, while dual-band GPS, Google Wallet, IP68 protection and 5ATM water resistance cover the expected premium-watch basics. The most distinctive component is Motorola's partnership with Polar.
Established Polar algorithms power sleep, recovery and training features rather than forcing Motorola to develop sports-science expertise from scratch. The 1.5-inch OLED display can reach 2,700 nits, while battery life is rated at up to roughly two days. Wear OS competition is intense, particularly from Samsung and Google, so Motorola needs more than specifications to stand out.
Polar's fitness credibility gives the Watch Ultra a clearer identity and could attract users who want smartwatch functionality without giving up sophisticated recovery analysis.
