Dave the Diver is now five days from its mobile debut

Dave the Diver will arrive on iOS and Android September 17, placing one of the most acclaimed indie games of recent years only five days away from its mobile debut. MINTROCKET is bringing the complete core experience to phones alongside popular additional content, including the DREDGE crossover and In the Jungle expansion. The developer has also introduced mobile-specific touches rather than relying only on virtual buttons.

Bancho Sushi's tea-pouring interaction can use gyro controls, players can choose between several viewing distances, and navigation around the Sea People village has been streamlined through faster travel. These changes illustrate the right approach to premium mobile adaptation: preserve the original design while reconsidering interactions that feel awkward on smaller touchscreens.
