Palworld Online keeps mobile MMO expansion in focus

Garena's Palworld Online remains one of the most prominent upcoming mobile MMO projects after opening limited pre-registration in South Korea. The game adapts Pocketpair's survival-creature concept into a persistent multiplayer structure built specifically for iOS and Android. Gameplay footage has shown open-world exploration, Pal capture, resource gathering and base construction alongside co-operative raids, dungeons and PvP activities.

The challenge is substantial because the original Palworld's appeal comes from systemic freedom rather than a tightly scripted progression path. Translating that into an MMO without replacing creativity with repetitive daily tasks will be difficult. Mobile optimisation presents another problem: base interfaces, inventory management and open-world combat all need to remain usable across small screens and widely varying device capabilities.

Garena's experience operating Free Fire provides strong live-service expertise, but Palworld Online requires a very different design philosophy. Pre-registration currently remains regionally limited, with a wider launch still expected during 2026.
