RAWR Defense rebuild pushes its mobile version toward testing

RAWR Defense has resurfaced in the mobile conversation after its team detailed a substantial rebuild of the game's mobile client and said testing is approaching. The competitive tower-defence title is part of the Craft World ecosystem and runs on the Ronin network, giving it a blockchain component alongside conventional strategy mechanics. The more important development for ordinary players is the decision to overhaul the smartphone implementation rather than forcing a compromised interface onto the platform.

Competitive tower defence can be well suited to touchscreens, but only if placement, targeting and upgrade decisions remain fast and legible under pressure. Mobile testing should reveal whether the rebuild succeeds in that regard. Blockchain games have struggled to move beyond audiences motivated primarily by tokens and ownership mechanics, so RAWR Defense will ultimately need to stand on the quality of its underlying game.

A stronger mobile client is therefore more strategically important than any Web3 terminology surrounding it.
