Samsung adds Galaxy S26 generation to Certified Re-Newed programme

Samsung has expanded its Certified Re-Newed programme to include Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra devices, creating a lower-cost official route into relatively recent flagship hardware. Refurbished units undergo inspection and replacement of defective components with genuine Samsung parts before resale, and the programme includes a one-year warranty. Pricing can reach roughly 85 percent of original launch prices depending on model and configuration.

Manufacturer-operated refurbishment programmes are becoming strategically important as smartphone replacement cycles lengthen. A two-year-old premium device can remain significantly more powerful than a new mid-range phone while receiving several more years of security support. Official refurbishment also gives buyers greater assurance over battery condition and replacement components than many third-party marketplaces.

From an environmental perspective, extending the commercial life of premium phones reduces pressure for entirely new hardware production. For Samsung, it also provides another way to keep consumers inside the Galaxy ecosystem at lower price points.
