Aniimo celebrates 30 million pre-registrations ahead of mobile launch

Open-world creature-catching RPG Aniimo has passed 30 million global pre-registrations as it approaches its September release window. Pawprint Studio's game is designed around collecting creatures known as Aniimo and then using a Twine mechanic that allows the player to effectively become those creatures to explore, fight and solve environmental challenges from new perspectives. Mobile players on iOS and Android are scheduled to join the ecosystem on September 23, following the console and PC rollout.

Cross-platform play and shared progression are central parts of the strategy, giving users the option to continue the same account on different devices. Thirty million registrations do not automatically translate into long-term active users, but the figure demonstrates the enormous marketing reach creature-collection games can achieve before launch.

The real test will come when the servers open and Aniimo has to distinguish itself through ecology, exploration and multiplayer systems rather than comparisons with existing monster-collection franchises.
