Pokémon GO's Fall Marathon Will Debut Bramblin and Push Mega Manectric Beyond Mega

Pokémon GO has detailed Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek, an October event introducing Bramblin while giving Mega Manectric another level of escalation. Running October 13-19, the event makes the Tumbleweed Pokémon available through GO Pass tasks, Incense and Field Research. Mega Manectric can meanwhile reach the new Super Max level, unlocking Discharge+ with 50 power in Trainer Battles and 150 in raids.

Wild and Incense encounters include Ponyta, Doduo, Electrike, Blitzle, Skarmory and Hisuian Growlithe, with increased Shiny odds for Electrike. Progression through the event's GO Pass adds bonuses including doubled Incense duration and substantially increased Mega Energy gains while exploring with Electrike or Manectric. Free Timed Research offers 16,800 XP and an encounter with a marathon-visor Pikachu, while paid Deluxe tracks add further encounters, Rare Candy XL, Mega Energy and other resources.

It is a remarkably literal interpretation of the marathon theme: walking remains Pokémon GO's core physical mechanic, and now the reward structure openly treats trainers like endurance athletes with Poké Balls. Bramblin is also an inspired addition to a walking event, being a Pokémon whose entire aesthetic suggests it has been blown several kilometres down a road against its will.
