Netmarble has opened the International Clash event in Solo Leveling: ARISE, adding a competitive format designed to compare players without simply letting the largest account power number settle the argument before combat begins. The event runs from September 24 through October 22 UTC and uses a special stat-balancing system that adjusts Hunter performance for the mode. Players receive three Clash Tickets at each daily reset, can store up to ten, and spend one ticket when entering a ranked battle.

Matches can still be played without a ticket, but they do not generate ranking score. The scoring system adds Total Power Gap and Win Streak bonuses, rewarding successful fights against stronger opponents and sustained performance. Rewards include Essence Stones, Time Crystals and assorted growth materials. Normalising stats is particularly notable in a progression-heavy mobile RPG because competitive modes can otherwise become exercises in comparing months of grinding—or spending—rather than actual decisions.

Netmarble is not stripping progression out completely, but International Clash at least tries to create a separate competitive environment where strategy has more room to matter. Sung Jinwoo's entire fictional career may be built around becoming outrageously overpowered, but apparently even he must occasionally submit to tournament regulations.
