Disney Speedstorm Heads to the Land of the Dead for Coco-Fuelled Season 22

Disney Speedstorm has fired up the mariachi band and pointed the kart towards Pixar's Coco for Season 22: Bridge of Marigolds. The new season adds Miguel Rivera, Héctor Rivera and Ernesto de la Cruz as racers alongside the Road to Remembrance circuit, which shifts between the Land of the Living and the significantly more colourful Land of the Dead. The update is not merely three characters wearing racing helmets, either.

Gameloft has introduced Augments, allowing up to six modifiers per racer to alter statistics or provide active effects, while three new race formats - Brain Hack, Power-Up Time and Arbee - attempt to keep the formula from settling into autopilot. A selection of existing racers including Gaston, Judy Hopps, Maui and the Queen of Hearts are receiving Supercharged versions, while Adventure Road gains additional collections.

Disney Speedstorm remains available across mobile, PC and consoles, making this another substantial cross-platform update rather than a reduced phone edition.
