Lumi Master Arrives With More Than 300 Creatures and a Cosy Sanctuary

Bilibili has added another contender to the increasingly crowded creature-collecting arena with Lumi Master. The new mobile RPG features more than 300 creatures called Lumis spread across environments including forests, deserts and volcanic regions. The roster is deliberately eclectic, ranging from dragons and magical deer to creatures whose design brief appears to have included the phrase 'give the mammal a sword'.

Battles provide the progression engine, while players can also spend quieter moments with their collected Lumis in a customisable sanctuary. That mixture of combat, collecting and domestic decoration is becoming a familiar mobile recipe because it serves both players who enjoy building optimal teams and those whose primary strategic concern is whether the sofa matches the curtains. With Aniimo also attracting considerable attention this week, creature collecting is clearly having another mobile moment.

Pokémon may have established the formula decades ago, but developers remain convinced there are plenty more fictional animals waiting to be captured, upgraded and occasionally forced into combat for our amusement.
