Pokémon TCG Pocket's Deluxe Pack: Mega Brings Back Cards With Guaranteed Rarity

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is preparing another assault on collectors' self-control. Deluxe Pack: Mega will run from September 30 through October 29 and bring back cards from earlier expansions ranging from Mega Rising through Ruler of the Skies. Each four-card pack guarantees at least one card of four-star rarity or higher, making the event particularly tempting for players trying to plug irritating holes in their collections.

October will also introduce a community deck feature that lets players view decks created by others and copy compatible setups into their own collection, reducing the amount of theorycrafting required before discovering somebody online has built something far more unpleasant. The update arrives alongside broader feature changes planned for Pokémon TCG Pocket.

Limited-time reissue packs are a sensible way to make older content accessible without permanently flooding the card pool, although describing any system involving guaranteed rare digital Pokémon cards as an exercise in restraint would be rather optimistic.
