Key takeaways
- Bounty Hunter Sprites Power Hours session runs late night on October 3/4 (1am UTC) across mobile, PC, and consoles.
- Players drop into Halloween matches armed with Dual Fiend Hunters ahead of the larger October 8 Fortnitemares update.
- Demonstrates Epic Games' calendar-driven live-service model maintaining full parity on mobile platforms.
Fortnite's Fortnitemares programme spills into October 4 for European players today, with the second Bounty Hunter Sprites Power Hours session scheduled for 9pm Eastern on October 3 - 1am UTC on Sunday. Participants drop in with Dual Fiend Hunters as Epic continues rolling out this year's Halloween programme across mobile, PC and consoles. It is a small event compared with the larger Fortnitemares updates still to come, but it demonstrates Fortnite's increasingly calendar-driven design.
The game no longer simply receives occasional content patches; it operates like an entertainment service with appointments, premieres, collaborations and limited windows layered on top of the battle royale. Mobile players participate in essentially that same ecosystem rather than receiving a cut-down smartphone edition, which remains one of Fortnite's most important contributions to mobile gaming.
The next substantial Fortnitemares date is October 8, when Reload returns to Nightmare Island with Elite Kado Thorne and horror-themed weaponry. Until then, today's European session provides another opportunity to discover that the scariest thing about Halloween gaming is apparently explaining why you are still playing Fortnite at two in the morning.
