  • Debuts Shiny Greavard encounters in wild spawns and field research.
  • Mega Sableye unlocks Super Max Level with the powerful Night Shade+ charged attack.

Pokémon GO has revealed additional details about the second part of its Halloween celebrations, scheduled to run from November 1 through November 5. The update introduces Shiny Greavard and allows Mega Sableye to reach Super Max Level for the first time. Reaching that advanced Mega level unlocks an additional Charged Attack called Night Shade+, which begins with 55 power in Trainer Battles and 160 power in raids, with further improvements linked to Mega progression.

Players will need to invest Sableye Mega Energy to reach the new level rather than simply Mega Evolving the Pokémon repeatedly. Greavard will appear through wild encounters and selected research activities, providing collectors with their first opportunity to hunt its Shiny form. The seasonal event also features appropriately dressed Pokémon, including costumed Pikachu, Sinistea, Rowlet and Gengar encounters.

A Halloween GO Pass begins October 27, offering free progression rewards such as Pokémon encounters, Candy and useful items. Higher ranks unlock additional bonuses, including increased catching rewards. The announcement demonstrates how Pokémon GO continues extending established systems rather than relying exclusively on introducing new creatures.

Super Max Mega levels provide another long-term progression target, although the increasing number of overlapping mechanics can become intimidating for less dedicated players. Halloween remains particularly suitable for Pokémon GO because the franchise already contains enough ghosts, monsters and suspiciously animated household objects to populate several haunted houses. Apparently the only thing more frightening than a ghost Pokémon is discovering how much Mega Energy you still need.
