  • Bandai Namco announced worldwide distribution plans for Naruto Mobile at NYCC 2026.
  • Originally launched in mainland China in 2016, featuring competitive 2D ninjutsu battles.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that Naruto Mobile is heading for worldwide distribution, bringing one of China's established smartphone fighting games to a much broader audience. The announcement was made during New York Comic Con 2026, where the publisher presented a new teaser and confirmed plans to expand the title internationally.

Originally launched in mainland China in 2016, Naruto Mobile is a competitive action game featuring characters from Masashi Kishimoto's enormously popular manga and anime universe. Players assemble teams of familiar ninja and participate in fast-paced battles featuring elaborate ninjutsu attacks, signature finishing moves and recognisable locations from the series. The game also allows players to revisit important moments from Naruto's story while developing their preferred combinations of fighters.

What makes the announcement particularly interesting is the game's age. Most publishers would hesitate before introducing a decade-old mobile title to new international markets, especially when smartphone technology and player expectations have changed so dramatically. However, Naruto remains a powerful global entertainment franchise, and a proven combat system could provide a substantial foundation for international expansion.

Bandai Namco has not yet confirmed a worldwide release date, regional rollout schedule or final monetisation arrangements. Additional information is expected around Jump Festa 2027. The announcement therefore represents a confirmed expansion plan rather than an immediate global launch. Nevertheless, Naruto fans outside China finally have something worth anticipating. After ten years of waiting, the Hidden Leaf Village appears to have discovered international shipping.
