Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.3 Revealed With Two New S-Rank Agents and Halloween Activities

HoYoverse has detailed Version 3.3 of Zenless Zone Zero, titled Once Again, Take to the Skies, with the substantial update scheduled to arrive on October 21. The announcement introduces two new S-rank agents, additional story chapters, seasonal activities and improvements to character management. The main narrative continues the escalating conflict surrounding the floating island of Roscalifa, where transportation routes have been sealed and control of a strategically important airport becomes essential.

The first half of the update introduces Fiony, an S-rank Fire Anomaly agent whose abilities include inflicting specialised burning effects and recovering from otherwise fatal damage. The second half introduces Severian, an S-rank Wind Attack agent capable of automatically evading certain attacks and responding with counterattacks. Both characters receive dedicated equipment and accompanying promotional banners. The update also brings new costumes, character interactions and cosmetic customisation options.

Seasonal activities include a supernatural-themed event in Lumina Square and a haunted-house attraction in which players operate a ghostly vehicle to frighten visitors. Additional combat challenges and double-reward activities provide opportunities to strengthen existing characters. HoYoverse is also testing a team-recommendation feature through Fairy, potentially making character combinations easier to understand for less experienced players.

Login rewards include ten Encrypted Master Tapes and ten Bangboo Tickets. Zenless Zone Zero continues to demonstrate how live-service games can turn ordinary content updates into elaborate entertainment productions. Unfortunately, the developers remain less enthusiastic about introducing a feature that automatically increases everyone's available storage space.
