Infinix has confirmed that its GT 50 Pro gaming smartphone will launch in India on October 27, with fresh details revealing a device designed around sustained performance and dedicated gaming controls. The handset features MediaTek's Dimensity 8400 Ultimate processor, LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage. Its 6.78-inch AMOLED display offers a 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz, while a 6500mAh battery provides power for extended sessions.
The most distinctive feature is the HydroFlow liquid cooling system, which incorporates visible channels beneath the rear panel. Infinix is also including an external magnetic cooling accessory with the Indian package. The accessory supports 30W wireless bypass charging, allowing power to be supplied during gaming without relying entirely on conventional battery charging. Pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers provide additional controls that can be mapped to actions such as aiming and firing.
Infinix claims that supported games, including Free Fire MAX and Call of Duty: Mobile, can reach 144 frames per second under appropriate conditions. Actual performance will depend on individual games and settings. The handset also supports 45W wired charging and 30W wireless charging. Final Indian pricing has not yet been announced, although industry estimates suggest that it may occupy a considerably more expensive category than previous GT models.
For mobile gamers, the combination of physical controls, active cooling and high-refresh-rate display is appealing. The important question is whether the finished product delivers sustained performance competitive with more expensive gaming phones. After all, spectacular cooling hardware is only useful if it keeps the game running smoothly rather than merely providing an entertaining light show.
