Dragonbound: Wings of Magic is targeting an October 15 release on mobile, according to its previously published App Store schedule, bringing another fantasy MMORPG to players interested in magical creatures and elaborate adventures. Developer Efun Game has opened pre-registration for Android and iOS, although worldwide storefront availability has not yet been independently confirmed at today's editorial cutoff.

The game begins at Dragon Knight Academy, where players study magic and develop relationships with dragons. The story introduces an unusual second-chance narrative in which the protagonist returns to an earlier point in time after witnessing a trusted dragon become corrupted by a mysterious force. Players must attempt to change that future by developing their abilities, investigating the source of the corruption and strengthening their dragon companions. Raising dragons forms a substantial part of the experience.

Players begin by hatching eggs before feeding, training and evolving their creatures into increasingly capable companions. Dragons participate in ground combat and can also be ridden during aerial battles. The combat system allows players to change between different class roles, weapons and magical abilities depending on the situation. Exploration takes place across the fantasy continent of Heimdall, with additional activities involving cooperative encounters and the development of a personal home.

Pre-registration promotions include an SSR companion called Dudu River Spirit. Dragonbound enters a competitive market already filled with fantasy MMORPGs and creature-collection experiences. Its success will depend on whether dragon raising becomes a genuinely engaging system rather than another collection of progression menus. After all, owning a dragon sounds wonderful until somebody reminds you that enormous flying reptiles probably require enormous quantities of food.
