Key takeaways

  • Wakusei Hakai Nyan Nyan Nyan launched on October 19 across Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and the Philippines.
  • Published by NC's casual mobile subsidiary VeroPlay, following Android soft-launch tests that began in July 2026.
  • Combines delivery-robot cat commander storytelling with roguelike character combinations and alien invasion defense.

South Korean gaming company NC has launched a new mobile casual RPG through its VeroPlay publishing subsidiary, demonstrating that apparently the only thing more commercially attractive than collecting fantasy warriors is collecting cats capable of fighting extraterrestrial invaders. The game, known in Japanese as Wakusei Hakai Nyan Nyan Nyan, officially launched on October 19 across six Asian markets: Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and the Philippines.

Its wonderfully ridiculous premise involves a delivery robot that crash-lands on an unfamiliar planet while transporting a collection of cats. Unfortunately, the planet is under attack by hostile aliens, leaving the robot and its feline passengers with little choice but to organise a defence. Players collect resources during battles, summon cat units and combine them to create stronger formations.

Experience points unlock additional skills, allowing different combinations of units and abilities to produce increasingly elaborate strategies. The game incorporates roguelike progression, meaning individual battles can encourage different approaches rather than relying on one permanently optimal arrangement. Android testing began in selected territories during July, but the October 19 release marks the official introduction of the game across both Android and iOS in the announced markets.

VeroPlay was established in April 2026 as NC's mobile casual publishing operation, making this release part of a broader effort to diversify beyond the company's established online gaming businesses. International availability outside the six launch markets has not been confirmed. The real challenge will be retaining players after the initial novelty wears off. Nevertheless, a delivery robot commanding an army of weaponised cats is already a more entertaining premise than most corporate strategy presentations.
