Mobile gaming investment company Mika Games has secured another $10 million in financing, providing additional capital for developers attempting to transform promising prototypes into commercially sustainable games. The funding round was led by Flint Capital and includes participation from new and existing investors.
Founded in 2023 by Wargaming co-founder Nick Katselapov, Mika Games concentrates on supporting free-to-play mobile studios during the difficult period between initial development and full commercial launch. Its investment model combines equity funding for development teams with separate financing for paid marketing experiments. This approach addresses a familiar problem within the mobile industry.
Publishers and investors increasingly demand evidence of strong player retention and profitable user acquisition before committing substantial resources. However, generating that evidence often requires expensive advertising campaigns that smaller studios cannot afford. Mika Games attempts to bridge that gap by providing capital specifically intended to test commercial performance. Its portfolio has expanded from three studios to five during 2026.
Recent investments include Bulberry Studio, developer of the PvP strategy title Wargard, and LevelApp, responsible for merge games Merge Dale and Sea Bloom. Existing portfolio companies include Guli Games and Agonalea Games. The company previously outlined ambitions to deploy approximately $50 million into mobile gaming opportunities. Its latest financing reflects continuing investor interest in studios capable of demonstrating disciplined commercial development. However, funding alone does not guarantee success.
Apparently the modern mobile developer must prove that people love a game before receiving enough money to show it to them.
