Thailand has produced the first-ever EA Sports FC Mobile world champion, with KOG.RYU77 defeating fellow Thai competitor ZMDxN4T5U by four games to one in the grand final of the inaugural FC Pro Mobile World Championship. The tournament concluded in Seoul on October 25 after five days of competition involving thirty-two players from around the world. Representing King of Gamers Club, RYU77 claimed the championship trophy and $60,000 in prize money from the event's $250,000 total prize pool.

Runner-up N4T5U received $40,000, while Vietnamese competitor FPLxChanh and Egypt's ColdCalm shared third place, earning $20,000 each. The result represents a particularly impressive achievement for Southeast Asian mobile esports, with Thailand claiming both places in the final and Vietnam reaching the semifinals. FPLxChanh came agonisingly close to eliminating the eventual champion, recovering from a two-game deficit to force a deciding fifth match.

That encounter remained goalless through regulation and extra time before RYU77 survived a penalty shootout. The championship marks an important milestone for Electronic Arts' efforts to establish FC Mobile as a serious international competitive title. Unlike traditional football esports played on consoles or computers, FC Mobile requires competitors to master the particular controls and tactical characteristics of smartphone gameplay.

The tournament's substantial prize pool and international qualification structure demonstrate growing investment in mobile competition. For Southeast Asian players, the results provide further evidence that the region is becoming an important force in competitive gaming. Apparently Thailand has discovered that winning the football World Cup is considerably easier when the entire tournament takes place on smartphones.
