HoYoverse has confirmed that Honkai: Nexus Anima will begin its final closed beta on November 25, 2026, providing another opportunity to experience the upcoming creature-collection RPG before its planned spring 2027 release. Registration for the test is now available through the game's official website, with participation planned across PC, iOS and Android devices. The announcement also introduces additional information about the game's expanding systems and characters.
Players will encounter more Anima creatures, explore new locations and participate in additional quests and character-related activities. One particularly interesting addition is the Nexus Arena, a competitive feature intended to provide further opportunities for players to experiment with their collected creatures. The Event Bonds recruitment system will also receive attention, including arrangements in which acquiring selected characters can provide access to associated Anima companions.
HoYoverse has released new promotional material demonstrating gameplay and additional features. As with most closed beta programmes, participation is limited and registration does not necessarily guarantee access. Progress made during testing is also expected to be reset before the final commercial release.
Honkai: Nexus Anima enters an increasingly competitive creature-collection market, where established franchises and newer mobile RPGs compete for attention through character design, progression systems and ongoing content. Its connection to the wider Honkai brand provides considerable visibility, but long-term success will depend on whether the creature-collection mechanics offer sufficient depth.
Apparently the Honkai universe has decided that managing complicated relationships between fictional characters is no longer enough. Players must now manage complicated relationships between fictional creatures as well.
