Clash of Clans stirs Global Chat nostalgia with new social feature hints
A new Clash discussion has players wondering whether Supercell is preparing a Global Chat-style replacement focused on better social discovery.
Clash of Clans may be preparing to make the village feel more social again. The latest Inside the Builder's Hut discussion has sparked serious Global Chat nostalgia, with Clash leadership talking about the need to improve social connection, clan life and player discovery. Nobody should treat this as a confirmed Global Chat return yet. That old system had moderation problems and was removed for a reason.
But the tone of the discussion suggests Supercell knows Clash still has a social gap: recruitment is awkward, clans can feel isolated, and newer players do not always have an easy way to find the right group. A safer, more modern global discovery layer could solve part of that without reopening the full chaos of old Global Chat. For a game as mature as Clash, better social tools may matter more than another troop or skin.
