Lenovo’s Legion Y70 is now one day from launch, and the confirmed spec sheet makes it a serious RedMagic rival on paper. Lenovo has already revealed a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, a BOE Q10 AMOLED LTPO display with 3K resolution and up to 144Hz refresh, an 8,000mAh battery and 90W wired charging. Thermal management is also a big part of the pitch, with a 5,500 mm² vapour chamber, high-conductivity gel and liquid metal.

Lenovo is also touting IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings, which is unusual for gaming-focused phones that often sacrifice durability for cooling and design. The big question tomorrow will be pricing and whether Lenovo plans anything outside China.
