My Hero Ultra Impact shuts down today after nearly five years
Bandai Namco’s My Hero Academia mobile RPG ends service on 18 May, closing its 3v3 hero-battle run with no offline version planned.
My Hero Ultra Impact reaches its end-of-service date today, and it is another reminder that even strong anime IP cannot guarantee permanent mobile life. Bandai Namco’s RPG launched in Japan in 2021 and globally in 2022, letting players build teams of three heroes and villains, use Quirks and Plus Ultra moves, and customise hero bases. The shutdown notice set 18 May 2026 as the end date, with a Finale Campaign offering daily free 10x recruits, past event stories and remaining chances to spend unused items.
The painful part is preservation. According to the shutdown reporting, there is no offline version planned, which means collections, event stories and team progress become much harder to revisit once the servers are gone. For fans, today is less about strategy and more about saying goodbye.
