Terraria has hit another ridiculous longevity milestone. Re-Logic says the sandbox adventure has now sold more than 70 million copies across all platforms, with mobile accounting for 19.7 million of those sales. That is a huge number for a game that first launched in 2011 and still refuses to behave like an old product.

The mobile figure matters because Terraria is one of the rare premium-style games that survived across multiple mobile eras: before battle passes became normal, before gacha took over half the conversation, and before subscription catalogues became serious. Re-Logic also confirmed that crossplay support is currently in development, which could make the mobile version even more relevant if players can connect more easily across devices.

Terraria keeps proving that strong sandbox design ages better than most monetization trends.
