Qiddiya and Google Cloud push gaming deeper into Saudi Arabia’s smart-city plans
Qiddiya is expanding its Google Cloud partnership to build AI-driven digital infrastructure for a gaming and entertainment city under Saudi Vision 2030.
Qiddiya’s expanded Google Cloud partnership is not a mobile game launch, but it is important for the wider games ecosystem. The project will use Google Cloud AI and data infrastructure to power real-time operations across Qiddiya City, including gaming districts, entertainment venues, sports spaces and cultural attractions. A central platform called Q-Brain is being positioned as an AI-driven layer for crowd management, operational automation and personalised visitor experiences.
For the games industry, this matters because Saudi Arabia is not only investing in publishers and esports anymore. It is trying to build physical infrastructure where gaming, entertainment, AI and tourism all meet. If Qiddiya works, it could become one of the region’s most visible gaming-adjacent destinations.
