Embracer keeps DECA, CrazyLabs and A Thinking Ape inside its remaining mobile arm

Embracer’s latest restructuring keeps its mobile business inside the remaining Embracer entity rather than moving it into the new Fellowship Entertainment spin-off. That means DECA Games, CrazyLabs and A Thinking Ape remain grouped together under what Embracer describes as a mobile games-asset care specialism. The mobile unit still has scale, with more than 600 staff and over 350 games, but the financial picture is not pretty. PocketGamer.

biz reports that Q4 mobile sales dropped 28% year-on-year to SEK 682m, with the Easybrain divestment largely behind the fall. For mobile industry watchers, this is another sign that large game groups are still cleaning up post-acquisition structures. Owning mobile assets is useful; making them grow again is the hard part.
