Two of mobile’s biggest recent success stories have hit major milestones. According to Mobilegamer.biz’s latest data digest, Love and Deepspace has generated $749m in IAP revenue and crossed $1bn in total user spend based on Appmagic data. Pokémon TCG Pocket has also passed 200m downloads since its October 2024 launch, according to the game’s official X account, with Appmagic estimating around $1.16bn in IAP revenue for The Pokémon Company and DeNA.
The two games are very different, but the lesson is the same: mobile players still spend heavily when the product has the right emotional hook. Love and Deepspace owns the high-production romance lane, while Pokémon TCG Pocket turns card collecting into a daily habit loop.
