Bloons Blitz turns balloon popping into bullet-heaven survival
Ninja Kiwi’s new Bloons spin-off is in early access on Android and iOS in the Philippines, shifting the franchise from tower defense into roguelike survival action.
Bloons Blitz is one of the more interesting soft-launch stories around today because it takes a familiar mobile universe and changes the genre completely. Ninja Kiwi’s new game is available in early access on Android and iOS in the Philippines, and instead of pure tower defense it moves into bullet-heaven survival. Players form Monkey teams, survive waves of Bloons, collect upgrades, face bosses and push through roguelike-style runs. That is a smart experiment.
The Bloons brand already has readable enemies, satisfying popping feedback and a long history of upgrade obsession, so bullet-heaven survival is not as strange a fit as it first sounds. The key will be whether it keeps the clean tactical satisfaction of Bloons TD while adding enough movement, dodging and build variety to feel like a real spin-off rather than a branded trend chase.
