Girls’ Frontline: Fire Control will shut down before it ever gets a proper global run
Sunborn Network will shut down Girls’ Frontline: Fire Control on August 26, 2026, only months after launch and before a full global release.
Girls’ Frontline: Fire Control is heading for an unusually early farewell. Sunborn Network has announced that the 3D tactical shooter will shut down on August 26, 2026, just months after its SEA-focused release and before a wider global launch could properly happen. The game combined fast-paced 5v5 third-person shooting with squad-building strategy and characters inspired by firearm models, but apparently the operation plans did not justify continuing.
Players can keep playing until the end, with 2,000 Free Diamonds every Wednesday and compensation rewards planned before the shutdown. It is another reminder that mobile live-service games can disappear quickly, even when attached to a known franchise. For remaining players, the countdown has started. For the industry, this is another cautionary tale: a recognizable brand still needs retention, market fit and operational confidence.
