Never Grave is now available on Android, bringing its mixture of Metroidvania exploration, roguelite progression and village rebuilding to mobile. Players control a witch connected to a cursed hat while exploring a dangerous underground world filled with enemies, treasure and branching routes. The signature ability allows the hat to possess certain opponents, temporarily giving the player access to their powers and creating new ways to approach combat or environmental obstacles.
Resources recovered below ground can be used to restore the ruined village on the surface, providing a longer-term progression layer beyond individual expeditions. The structure draws on several familiar action-game traditions, but the possession system gives Never Grave an opportunity to create more varied encounters than a standard weapon-upgrade loop.
Its Android release will be judged heavily on control responsiveness, interface scaling and performance, since platforming and evasive movement are central to the genre. If those elements translate well, the game could appeal to mobile players looking for a deeper premium-style experience rather than another short-session live-service title.
Never Grave's combination of exploration, character growth and town restoration also gives players several parallel goals, which may help the campaign maintain momentum after the novelty of its cursed-hat mechanic wears off.
