Bloodless brings non-lethal samurai combat to Android in September

Retro action game Bloodless is heading to Android on 2 September 2026 with an unusual promise: a samurai adventure built around defeating enemies without killing them. Players control Tomoe, a former samurai who has become a ronin and sworn off taking lives. Instead of relying on swords, she uses martial-arts combinations, counters and ki techniques to break through the forces of Shogun Akechi. That non-lethal premise gives the game a distinctive identity while still supporting fast and aggressive combat.

The colourful pixel-art presentation is paired with rhythmic attacks, upgrades and power-ups that encourage mastery rather than simple button mashing. Bloodless also includes Namazu's Wrath, a separate roguelike-style mode intended to increase replay value after the main journey. The mobile version has reportedly been optimised for touch devices, an important detail for a combat game in which timing and responsiveness are central to the experience.

Its September launch gives Android players another premium-feeling indie action title at a time when mobile storefronts are attracting more console and PC ports.
