Transformers: Eternal War opens pre-registration with Jazz and Bumblebee rewards

Transformers is returning to mobile with Transformers: Eternal War, a character-collecting role-playing game that has now opened pre-registration on iOS and Android. The game brings together Autobots and Decepticons in their classic designs and introduces a new enemy faction called the Chaos Legion.

The storyline has been written by veteran Transformers writer Simon Furman, whose work helped define much of the franchise's mythology, giving the project a stronger narrative connection to long-time fans than a routine licensed spin-off might offer. Players who register before launch can unlock Jazz and Bumblebee as milestone rewards, providing two recognisable characters at the beginning of the collection cycle.

Eternal War is expected to revolve around recruiting units, developing teams and deploying familiar Cybertronians against the new threat on Earth. Its strongest commercial appeal is clearly nostalgia, particularly for players who grew up with earlier versions of the brand, although the character-collection market is already highly competitive.

The game is due to launch later in 2026, and its long-term prospects will depend on whether the combat, progression and live-service structure offer enough identity beyond the power of the Transformers licence.
