Wuthering Waves Version 3.6 set for August 20 with new Resonators and events

Kuro Games has detailed Wuthering Waves Version 3.6, titled Lamplight in Mirage, Sword's Resolve in Heart, ahead of its August 20 release. The update will bring new Resonators, additional events and further story content to the open-world action RPG, extending the game's rapid live-service cadence through the second half of 2026.

Wuthering Waves has built much of its identity around fast combat, character switching and large explorable environments, so every major update has to balance new characters with meaningful activities for players who already have developed teams. Version 3.6 is expected to continue that approach by adding fresh combat options while expanding the current narrative arc.

For mobile players, optimisation will remain just as important as new content because Wuthering Waves is one of the more demanding action RPGs available on phones. Updates that improve loading, frame-rate consistency and device compatibility can be as valuable as headline characters.
