Gangstar Mirage City is settling into its first full day after launching on August 20 across selected markets in Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia. Level Infinite and Gameloft's urban multiplayer game revives the Gangstar brand around crews, cooperative heists, vehicle customisation and a persistent city filled with jobs and faction activity. The regional release is effectively a large-scale live test before wider distribution.
Open-world traffic, driving, combat and several connected users all place significant demands on both servers and mobile hardware, making the first days particularly useful for identifying performance bottlenecks. Progression and monetisation will be watched just as closely because a crime sandbox needs enough freedom to feel open while still supporting a sustainable service model. Pre-registration milestone rewards are being distributed to eligible players as the launch begins.
Large contemporary city games remain relatively uncommon on phones because of their complexity, giving Mirage City an opportunity to occupy territory between mission-based action games and full PC-style online sandboxes. The success of this regional phase will likely determine how quickly availability expands.
