Sword of Reborn is scheduled to launch today on iPhone and iPad, bringing another martial-arts-themed free-to-play RPG into the September mobile release rush. Developed by HOWLYO Hong Kong, the game places players in a wuxia world after its protagonist is transported from modern life into a setting dominated by martial arts, powerful companions and rapid character progression.
The game promotes a large selection of martial-arts abilities that can be combined to develop different combat builds, alongside collectible companions and server-launch rewards. Sword of Reborn enters an extremely competitive mobile RPG market where attractive character art and generous introductory rewards are common, so the longer-term challenge will be whether its progression and combat offer enough individuality to sustain attention after the first few days.
