ARES: The Iron Vanguard confirms September 15 global launch

Com2uS Holdings has confirmed today that ARES: The Iron Vanguard will receive its global launch on September 15. Developed by SECONDDIVE, the science-fiction action RPG is built around a real-time Suit Change system that lets players switch between two combat suits depending on the situation. Equipment collection and progression then allow players to develop different play styles around those suits.

The September 10 confirmation is important because the international version has been in preparation following the game's earlier Korean operation. Com2uS is opening pre-registration through both the App Store and Google Play ahead of release. ARES enters a crowded mid-September mobile RPG period, but its science-fiction setting and active combat provide some separation from the fantasy-heavy titles that dominate the genre.

The ability to switch combat roles dynamically could prove particularly useful on mobile if the interface makes the system quick and intuitive rather than requiring constant menu management.
