Digimon Alysion is moving toward its 2026 launch with Japanese pre-registration now drawing renewed attention around Bandai Namco's upcoming online card game. The title takes place in the same broader universe as Digimon Liberator and revolves around battles inside the virtual environment LACUNA. The official project is free-to-play with optional purchases and built specifically for mobile.
Card battlers are particularly well suited to smartphones because they require relatively modest hardware while supporting deep competitive systems and long-term collection. Alysion also gives Bandai Namco a way to connect the physical and digital Digimon card audiences without attempting to reproduce a large console RPG on mobile. Earlier beta requirements called for Android 11 with 8GB of RAM or iOS 15 with 4GB, suggesting the game still expects relatively capable devices despite its card-game format.
The exact global release strategy remains unclear, but the 2026 launch window is official.
