AirPods 5 become another gateway into Apple's AI ecosystem

Apple has refreshed AirPods with a new generation starting at $129, adding updated audio features and expanding the role of earbuds inside its wider device ecosystem. Higher configurations bring active noise cancellation, wireless charging and direct volume controls. The strategic significance goes beyond music. Earbuds are one of the most natural hardware interfaces for AI because users already wear them for long periods and are comfortable speaking through them.
