Moto Watch Ultra officially goes on sale today

Motorola's Moto Watch Ultra reaches its scheduled US launch today at $349. The 46mm stainless-steel smartwatch runs Wear OS and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon W5 Plus Gen 1 processor. Its 1.5-inch OLED display can reach 2,700 nits, while dual-band GPS, Google Wallet, IP68 protection and 5ATM water resistance provide the expected premium fundamentals.

The most distinctive element is Motorola's partnership with Polar, whose algorithms power features including Nightly Recharge, Sleep Plus Stages, Activity Score and Smart Calories. That arrangement gives Motorola access to mature fitness science without having to build the entire analytics platform internally. Battery life is rated at up to around two days with the always-on display disabled. The timing is particularly competitive because Apple revealed Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 just one day earlier.

Motorola therefore enters the market at exactly the moment wearables are receiving unusually high consumer attention.
