Level-5 is using Tokyo Game Show 2026 to put renewed attention on Inazuma Eleven: Cross, its upcoming mobile entry in the football RPG franchise. Designed for iOS and Android, Cross is being promoted alongside some of Level-5's largest console projects, giving the smartphone game unusually prominent positioning within the publisher's TGS campaign.

Inazuma Eleven's mixture of football, character development and exaggerated special abilities has always lent itself naturally to team-building systems, making mobile an obvious platform for expansion. Cross is intended as a purpose-built smartphone experience rather than a straightforward conversion of a console game. Its presence at TGS gives Level-5 another opportunity to explain how progression, team construction and matches will work on touchscreens.
